I am from a traditional and orthodox Namboodiri family whose known lineage goes back a thousand years. I have just one comment to make on this initiative. It should have purity of purpose and implementation. Otherwise it will become just another exercise in one upmanship on the Namboodiri's few means of livelihood. (Since he doesn't have any reservations in education or job while the Adivasi does). Rituals does not just make the man. The philosophies of a Brahmin's life have to be internalised. They have to follow the prescribed route to Moksha (which is the ultimate aim of a Brahmin)and not fall by the wayside of commercialisation and the material world.
